A number of things work together to bring about man’s salvation.
God Saves. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved…” (1 Tim. 2:3-4).
Christ Saves. “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Mt. 1:21).
Grace Saves. “For by grace are ye saved…” (Eph. 2:5, 8).
Faith Saves. “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:1).
Blood Saves. “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Eph. 1:7).
The Gospel Saves. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Rom. 1:16).
Preaching Saves. “…it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe” (1 Cor. 1:21).
Works Save. “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only” (Jas. 2:24).
Confession Saves. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom. 10:10).
Baptism Saves. “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us…” (1 Pet. 3:21).
Nowhere does the Bible teach that a person is saved by any one thing alone.
