When Elijah faced 450 prophets of Baal, he trusted God. When Elijah sat under the broom tree, he still trusted God.
Faithfulness isn’t the absence of exhaustion – it’s endurance through it. It’s rooted in God’s sustaining power, not our unlimited energy.
Whether calling down fire or crying out in despair, God’s response was the same: “I am here. Keep going.”
The truth about endurance:
- Feeling tired doesn’t mean failing.
- Wanting to quit doesn’t mean quitting
- But pressing on reveals His strength
So we assess our weariness:
- In fatigue, are we still faithful?
- In victory, do we remember we still need Him?
- Has exhaustion become our excuse?
- Are we enduring - or just existing?
True perseverance isn’t pretending we’re fine – it’s being honest and continuing anyway. It’s not just for the battles, but for the quiet recovery too.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).
